Making a startup known, positioning it, and strengthening its market presence is crucial for attracting the attention of potential investors and large clients. Communication, marketing, and public relations play a decisive role in achieving this goal.

At Zinkup, we accompanied Linkerdrive through this process for a year and a half. We worked on a multi-channel and personalized strategy to convey powerful messages aligned with the brand values and highlighting this pioneering solution. Furthermore, we focused the strategy on achieving presence across various channels (media, social networks, and business circles) through communication, public relations, social media, and personal branding actions.

Linkerdrive, the first Spanish Startup to develop a platform for car lease contract transfers,  implemented the following strategy to position itself:

  • Giving visibility to its pioneering solution in Spain to reach its potential audience and thus attract more clients and the attention of investors.
  • Using general, financial and industry-specific media to position itself and showcase the innovative solution they offer and how they contribute to the leasing sector.
  • Establishing itself as a pioneer and reference in its sector.
  • Positioning itself in business and institutional spaces as a key agent of change in the automotive and mobility sectors.
  • Consolidating its digital presence and social media community.
  • Redirecting and increasing quality traffic to its website.

Zinkup Project

Zinkup devised a segmented communication, public relations, and social media strategy in different phases: startup launch, business consolidation, and leadership positioning to reach business and institutional environments. All this aimed at attracting potential investors and allowing the company to consolidate its presence in the national market and initiate its internationalization process and business model expansion.

Key Message Development: The first and most important step was developing key messages, adapted to media and social networks, to highlight all the potential of this startup and what makes it unique.

Close and Constant Relationship with the Media: Direct communication was established with key journalists from related industries, financial, and general media. This relationship was maintained throughout the project, and one-to-one contact activities were regularly made to secure interesting opportunities for the client, increasing its visibility and positioning among potential investors.

Creation of Attractive and Valuable Content for Media: Among the actions carried out by Zinkup were: Creation and distribution of press releases, management of interviews with journalists, writing and publishing opinion articles, and participation in leasing specials.

Presentation of Applications for Major Business Awards: Zinkup supported the search, proposal, and presentation of Linkerdrive’s application for several business awards that could enhance its positioning. Thanks to this work, the company received the award for the Most Innovative Startup at the Cinco Días Business Innovation Awards 2023. Additionally, it was a finalist in the IX Edition of the CEPYME Awards, in the SME Entrepreneurial Project category, and in the IV Edition of the Expansión Awards, in the Mobility and Smart Cities category.

Attractive and Valuable Content to Create a Social Media Community

Value Content to Build Community: Finding unique and appealing topics has been a maxim for writing, designing, and publishing posts for social media and the company’s blog. The notoriety, quality, and originality of these materials have allowed the community to grow with quality followers interested in their service.

Social Media Management: Valuable content loses much of its strength if not accompanied by detailed planning and continuous interaction with the community. To achieve the greatest growth and interaction, several audits of social media profiles were conducted, and various initiatives (fixed content sections, surveys, giveaways…) were implemented to consolidate the community and generate the most engaging content for followers.

Keys to Achieving Leadership Positioning

1. Personal Branding Creation.

A detailed study was conducted to identify target areas for positioning the spokesperson, directly related to the startup’s business (leasing), sector  (mobility and automotive), and more general topics (entrepreneurship and leadership). Detailed work was also done to define the key messages to be conveyed, the spokesperson’s desired style, essence, experience, and hobbies, to create close, attractive, and impactful content.

2. Media Training for the Spokesperson:

Detailed advice was provided for all media interactions to ensure the spokesperson felt calm, informed, and comfortable with the messages to be conveyed. This advice allowed the spokesperson to approach media encounters prepared, with specific recommendations and highlighted headlines for positioning. Besides interviews, opinion articles were also key to positioning them as opinion leaders and a reference in their sector.

3. Visibility for Business Award Nominations.

Thanks to this work, the spokesperson gained authority within business circles, allowing them to establish networking and thus increase notoriety and attract the attention of potential investors.

4. Social Media and Personal Branding Not Only for the Company:

To convey a closer image of the company and enhance the spokesperson’s positioning, a LinkedIn profile audit was conducted for optimization. Additionally, valuable content proposals for publication through their channel and detailed planning were made. A list of strategic profiles for interaction was also created. The main objective of all these actions was to position the spokesperson as a leading voice in Entrepreneurship, Leasing, and Mobility.
